Vintage Rock Posters

I know nothing about vintage rock posters but when I saw this one with The Doors on it, I knew I had to get it. Someone had taken the time to frame it, so I thought it might be worth something. This poster advertised the June 1967 performance of The Miller Blues Band, Daily Flash, and The Doors at the Avalon Ballroom. The artist is Victor Moscoso.

I saw a few on Ebay with high asking prices. I could not find anything in solds. I then did a google search of Family Dog and found this website. They stated there was two prints made of this poster. They described both posters being 14" W x 20" L  My poster only measures 11" W x 14" L My poster also has a white border which the two prints do not have.

So, is my poster some sort of mass produced copy?  Is it something I can sell on Ebay? It's pretty cool looking so for now it is hanging in my office. If anyone wants to buy it, send me an offer. I may consider parting with it.

Feedback Removal

Have you ever had a feedback removed on Ebay? In my early days of selling, I received a negative. The seller bought a new with tags talking Piglet. Piglet was huge, over 2 feet sitting. I accepted a Best Offer of $29 and sent Piglet to his new home.

(not picture of item sold)

She received Piglet and a few days later sent me a message demanding to give her a refund of $10 or she would leave me a negative feedback. She said the plush was not new and in fact had several spots on it. She didn't want to return it because it was a gift for her daughter's birthday. Being new to selling, I did not want a negative so I complied. Shortly after, she left the negative with a comment stating the item was not new and $29 was too much to pay for a used toy. What??? I refunded her $10 like she wanted.

I called Ebay and explained what had happened. I told the rep I refunded her the money like she asked and she still left the negative. I said that wasn't fair that people can demand you to do something and when you comply, they leave the negative anyways. He looked at her message and said it was considered feedback extortion and they would remove it. It was removed while I was on the phone.

I haven't had to call again about feedback until yesterday. At the end of August, I won an auction for a Fisher Price A Frame House. I paid and the seller never shipped out. I messaged her twice asking for a tracking number and never got a response. I sent her a message to her personal email and again no response. I felt I had no choice but to open an item not received case.

She never responded to the case and Ebay refunded me the money. After my refund, I left her a negative with this comment: "won auction Paid Never received Ebay refunded me No communication"

Yesterday, I was looking at my purchase history and noticed her feedback was back up to 100% Before I left feedback, she only had a score of 2 so mine dropped her to 50% I clicked on the feedback number which took me to her feedback page. My negative feedback was removed.

I was pissed. This seller chose to ignore me and not ship out my item. I have seen other negative feedback that read item not received so I wasn't sure how my seller got her negative removed. I called Ebay. The first rep I spoke to agreed that it should not have been removed but she needed to transfer me to another rep.

The second rep looked and said since I had put "Ebay refunded me" it was removed because it is against their policy. You can not mention buyer/seller resolution cases in feedback. I told her I saw that all the time in feedback. She put me on hold.

When she returned, she said the feedback was removed automatically because of the issue Ebay had with members not being able to log in to reply to the case or ship out items. (umm you can ship using Paypal or USPS) I find it hard to believe she was locked out the entire duration of the case. Don't you get like 7 days to handle it? I told her if that was the case, the seller must have been blocked out of her email as well because I sent her a personal email. The rep stuttered over her words and said that Ebay could not go by that because they do not have access to our personal emails.

She did say the transaction did affect the sellers standing. (meaning she did receive a defect for item not received) but buyers do not see that. I've been watching her account and so far she doesn't have anything to sell. I should have known better to bid because I had sent her a question she never responded to.

What has been your experience in getting feedback removed? Leave me a comment

Ebay Facebook Groups

Love them? Hate them? Too much information? Not enough information? Too many rules? Not enough rules? Too much drama? Too many cliques? What do you say?

I belong to 3 Ebay FB groups. I'm sure there are hundreds out there but if I joined anymore, I'd never get anything done. One of the groups is larger and created by you tube video picker. It has over 3000 members. The second one is about half that created by a fellow ebayer and the last is a small one created by a friend and ebay reseller. Everyone in the smaller groups seem to get along and if there is a difference in opinion, it is discussed in a friendly, respectful manner. Too bad the bigger group isn't the same.

I know the bigger the group, the more opinions but people should be able to express their opinion without fear of being attacked or called names. (What is this? grade school) If you post something, you should not expect everyone to be positive about it or agree with your every single word. How boring this world would be if everyone had the same opinions!

Anyways, two days ago a member decided to post a photo of the packages he was shipping out for the day. He titled it something like: "Here is a little inspiration for the day. My wife shipping out 121 packages." A couple of the comments were like omg! wow! Im happy to mail out 10 packages. Good for you! How impressive!. My comment wasn't so cheery. I asked him what his average SALE price was. Not his ROI, not his profit. His SALE price which I could easily find by searching Ebay solds. I also said if it was only .99c I'm not that impressed.  Apparently, this was the fuel to start the fire.

The original poster didn't seem too bothered by this and said something like anywhere from $3 to $30 (Not quite the average I was asking but fine enough) Then the trolls came out from under the rocks and told me if I wasn't impressed, I shouldn't comment.  Hmmm, why is it that Ebay is the ONLY job you can brag about how much you are making and it isn't consider bragging but attempting to inspire?

Anyways, a couple of other people started asking if he was actually making any kind of profit. He said he was buying from a wholesaler and selling party supplies. The post got out of hand and it was removed.

The next day, the op posted another photo. This time it was like 88 packages. I did not comment on that post and it too was deleted shortly after. My friend decided to ask why the post was taken down twice. Again, the trolls came out. My friends and I were joking and playing around and all the trolls were getting defensive and personal. One kept telling me it wasn't any of my business what the op's profit was. I kept telling him I wasn't asking about profit. I only asked about average selling price which I could easily find for myself by looking at the op's solds. Apparently, he has no reading comprehension and kept putting words in my mouth. I told him if the original post wasn't removed, he could see for himself, I was not changing what I had said.

At one point, another person said "why are you wasting our time with this post." I replied if she thought we were wasting her time, why doesn't she stop reading and commenting? She got defensive and stated she could read and comment on anything she wanted. smh

Eventually that post was removed but not before myself and 2 friends were called idiots and The Three Blind Mice. Now I thought that was some funny shit so I told the other girls we should change our FB profile names to "a blind mouse". I put it into my middle name but sadly, the other girls did not. I'm stuck with that name for 60 days but it's ok because I'm still laughing my ass off at those trolls.
