50% Off Sale

The thrift store by my house has been running a 50% off sale. I went Monday and yesterday but didn't find much. Most of their Christmas stuff was gone and the stand I wanted was in someone's cart.

I normally don't pick up troll dolls but these were marked Dam and I read they are good sellers. I guess I shall see. These are from 1986 though.

I got this car hauler and bag of cars for ryker. Most of their toys were gone.

I got this picture for my kitchen. It fell off the wall last night but luckily it didn't break.

This New Jersey Devils jacket I'm selling on ebay. I have good luck selling the Starter jackets and I hope this sells quickly.

This desk I picked up on Friday with my sister for Robbie. It's from the Bassett company and is well made.

DIY Vintage Christmas Wreath

I really wanted a vintage Christmas wreath, except I couldn't afford to spend $100+ on Ebay or Etsy. I decided to make one myself. It cost less than $10 and came out ok.

I'm far from a DIY type of person so I was hesitant to make one but it was actually easier than I thought. All I needed was a wreath, some ornaments, lights, and hot glue.

I found a wreath at the thrift store that already had lights. I also found a Santa, some ornaments, and snowflakes.

The drummer, elf and the two wooden Santa's I already had. All I had to do was glue everything in place.

I didn't take into account where the plug was located. I should have glued the decorations so that the plug was on the bottom and not the top. The hot glue also melted some of the snowflakes.

It's hanging inside my kitchen door.

Thrift Scores

I found a few things at the thrift store that I am keeping. Friday, we went to a downsizing sale that seemed promising. We got there around 1:30 and there was a lot of stuff but nothing I liked. I did get A Christmas Story on vhs and Toy Story 2 which I already had.

We then went over to the thrift store that benefits veterans. I found this cabinet for Ryker's toys. It wasn't priced and after a few negotiations, I got it for a price I was happy with.

I love my George Foreman grill but hate cleaning it. I've been looking for one with the removable grill plates and today I found a brand new one. It didn't come with the box but it still had the plastic on it.

I also found a pink Pyrex casserole dish. I have never seen pink in the wild. It does look like someone put it into the dishwasher but for .99 c I can deal with it.

Bingo

Only found one thing today: a vintage Bingo game set. It has the metal cage with a wooden chute and wood balls. It also came with 49 cards and a jar of markers.

I found this desk yesterday at Goodwill for $9.99 I only found 2 items for resale: giraffe/elephant bookends and a bear security blanket.

Today, was 50% off at the thrift store by my house. I found a lot of stuffed animals for resale, a talking Dora, Baby Alive, a train set and a Lalaloopsy doll. I have most of this listed on EBay. I also bought a necklace for myself.

Thrift Finds

I haven't found anything spectacular while thrifting lately. I went to another estate sale on Friday because I wanted to buy a couch they had posted. It was still there when I showed up but turned out to be a sleeper sofa and those are way to heavy to haul. Plus the price wasn't in my budget. I did pick up a 45 rpm record holder.

I got this coffee table for Ryker's room. I figured he could use it for legos or his trains.

I also picked up this basket shelf. The cashier asked me what I was going to use it for and I told her hats and mittens. In warmer months, I'll store it in the closet.

Thrift Store Finds

Some things I found at the thrift store. This rocking chair was advertised at the estate sale I went to this past weekend but I did not see it. It ended up in the thrift store by my house.

I bought these birth record papers awhile back. I found 4. I have four boys so it worked out well. However, I was only able to find two frames.

I got this clock the day before I got the one from the estate sale. My starburst clock stopped working so this is the replacement.

I was checking out and my sister said look The Last Supper. It was on the wall behind the register so I asked the cashier if it was for sale. It was and only cost me $5

I also picked up a pair of brand new slippers, a new Sonicare toothbrush with charger, some security blankets and Venelope from Wreck It Ralph.

Estate Sale

There was another estate sale within walking distance from my house. I didn't find anything reasonably priced for resale but picked up a few things for myself. Here is what I got on Friday.

I have always wanted a big spoon and fork for my kitchen.

I thought this elf was adorable. I also picked up some measuring spoons and a horse shoe.

I only bought this clock because there was a $25 minimum to use a credit card. Later, a member of one of my fb eBay groups said this was illegal. It's a nice clock though and is marked Henry Miller.

Today, I went back and got two of these table lamps. I was deciding between these and another smaller set that was there. A lady said she liked this set better but was glad I was looking at them because she has too many lamps and if I bought them, she couldn't add to her collection.

Estate Sale Finds

I went to an estate sale by my house yesterday and today. I got these 3 items yesterday.

The two weather houses were really dirty and the mail sorter had some type of film on it, like maybe grease. I'm keeping the sorter and listing the houses on eBay.

Aren't these poodles the cutest?

When I went back today, I only got this keychain. (the bullet) I want to go back tomorrow, but since someone stole my PayPal debit card number, I had to cancel my card and I can't get out my money. The rep said I wouldn't get a new card until the 15th.

Last Day

Today was the last day of the 50% off sale at the thrift store. They had a big bin of stuffed animals and then about five 30 gallon rubbermaid containers. I dug through most of them.

The spiderman pillow and the platypus are for Ryker. I have the 402 of the Pyrex but when I was in the store, I had a hard time remembering what size I had so I grabbed all 3 bowls. They had the spring blossom and a brown set (I think) but I didn't get either. I kind of wish I did though.

I think the wolves in these 2 playsets need to be switched around. I thought they were cute.

I'm listing most of this stuff on ebay, so check out my store. I'm also running a sale this weekend.

50% Off Sale Finds

The thrift store by my house had 50% off today. I actually found more here than I did at the treasure sale last weekend.

I found a bunch of cute plush. I thought the small koala bear went with a hugging one I already had that was missing her baby. They are different colors but I put them together anyways. I have no idea if the little rainbow plush is a frog or a duck. I listed it as both. The Simba is the Kissing one but I didnt find Nala.

The Bierderlack blankets usually sell well on Ebay. This one was a NY Yankees. I really liked the green KangaROOS but they are not my size. It was kind of weird getting them because I had picked up the one shoe and shortly after, an older lady grabbed the other. She said they looked too small to be a 9. Then she asked the manager how much the shoes were. I wasn't sure if she was going to give me the shoe or not. She eventually did.

Some vintage Trapper Keepers can go for good money. This plain one doesn't sell for much. I found the microphone to the Fisher Price Super Star stage in one of the bargain bags. It is always a good idea to check those bags. The butter dish is for me.

I don't normally buy breakables or decorative items but these vases were too nice to pass up. The brownish striped one was made in Italy and one recently sold for $75. The black ones are metal and made in India. I am keeping the cat dish.

If you are interested in any of these items, check out my store on Ebay.

Treasure Sale Finds

St Matthews Church had their annual treasure sale this past weekend. I only went on Saturday. Since I had Robbie with, I didn't get much. It was hard to dig when he kept wandering off.

The videos are for Ryker and since I did not notice Pink Panther was damaged, my sister is going to buy him. She found the Jellycat alligator.

I debated about keeping the deer. However, I listed them on ebay.

The John Lennon elephant was dirty so I didn't list him yet. Same with the Gund yellow musical bear. But I did list the other two musical toys.

I found two Harry Potter items. They had a Golden Snitch lamp but one of the wings was broken and I want to say it was missing the bulb. It's a shame because they seem to sell high on ebay.

Most of their older "antique" items were priced high. I did get these two squeak toys though. Some of these toys can sell for a lot on Ebay. The bear one does not squeak but the mouse does.

I sold one of these shape sorters awhile back. The handle on this one is broken but I would think one could superglue it back together.

and Baby's First Bear

I wish I would have gone back on Sunday as they had boxes of plush under the sell tables. They were huge boxes and I didn't know if they would allow me to dig through them. I think I will ask next year.
