Pretty Blue Plates

I didn't find anything for resale today but I picked up these pretty blue dishes. I got 8 of them for $12. It was half off day.

I was debating between these and a set that was white with flowers trimming the edge instead of the blue. A worker saw me and told me she had the blue set and only needed a salt shaker. She told me they belonged to her mother. She said they had to be about 70 years old.

I decided to move my hutch from the living room into the kitchen. It had some knick knacks and other decorations on it but I Komaried those and it was empty. I put my Pyrex and these dishes on it.

Sold This Bought That

I sold a fish tank off of Facebook. I had originally bought it for our crawfish but DH pointed out that it was too small. I thought I had a photo but I deleted it.

A few months back, I sold a bench but wanted to trade for a coffee table the buyer had for sale. Unfortunately, he had already sold it. I was surprised to see one like it when I went to pick up Ryker's nightstand.

I was undecided at that time and didn't purchase it. A few hours later, I message the seller and asked if she would take $8 for it. She works for a realtor and this was left at one of the properties. She agreed and my sister picked it up on Saturday. It's a pretty solid piece. It has 2 drawers on the side facing the couch. It could use a restaining but for now, it will do.

More Treasure Sale Finds

I found some vintage Christmas at the treasure sale.

This Santa is made from a bleach bottle cut in half length wise. I got it for a dime!

I also picked up some tree skirts to sell on eBay.

Church Treasure Sale Finds

The church by our house is having their annual treasure sale until Saturday. I didn't even know it had started but we drove past there this morning and I saw the signs. I'm so grateful we did because I probably would have never known and missed out on two great items. I'm so thankful. God is good.

I thought I would never find one of these, let alone 2. I almost wet myself. They are Fisher Price bunny security blankets. They are from the 70's I think.

I also picked up the Fisher Price delivery van. It has all the letters inside. I don't think they sell very high but I seem to sell them quickly. There is suppose to be a mail guy and a cart thing but mine are missing. I won't pick them up unless they have all the cards. (13 because they are double sided)

All these items will be listed in my Ebay store here Most of my items have Best Offer so let's make a deal.

What $5 Bought

I have been decluttering my house using the KonMari method of organizing. If you haven't heard of this, it is basically decluttering your house by category and deciding which items spark joy and which items do not.

This desk in Ryker's room certainly did not spark joy for me. I don't think Ryker liked it either. It took up way too much space and became a dumping ground for toys that needed to be put away. So I got rid of it. The lady who picked it up came in a car. It took a lot of turning and maneuvering to get it into her back seat but there was no way it was coming back into my house.

I replaced it with this nightstand I found on FaceBook for $5 It certainly sparks joy for me and Ryker seems to like it. Hopefully, we can keep it clear from toy dumping and put things back in their place right away.

Thrift Store Finds

Somethings I found this weekend.

The marbles were in a plastic bag and were marked antique. I doubt they are that old. I found the glass jar for .89c The marbles were .79c

The clock has the continents on the face. I thought that was cool but I'm not sure it will sell as it seems to be some advertisement for Fiserv.

A similar paperweight sold on eBay at auction for $47 I have Best Offer on mine so hopefully someone will buy it. It has 1958 coins inside.

Sold This, Bought That

I sold my end table with book storage

to get this. I didn't find this at the thrift store, but I have been wanting one of these book shelves for some time.

Awhile back, there was one at St. Vinnies but they wanted $125 for it. I'm glad I waited. It isn't vintage but it is still a nice piece. I had my collection of Little Golden books on the top shelf but my DH pointed out that it made the shelf too wobbly. With my precocious 5 year old running around, DH was probably correct. I like that I should not have to dust my Walking Dead Pop Figures. Hopefully, they will stay dust free behind the glass.
