Magic 8 Ball and More Crap I Don't Need

I dropped some things off at the consignment store yesterday and was happy to find out my account had $15.  (I also noticed I tracked mud into this store. I really need to learn to wipe my feet... Why do second hand stores have carpet? Makes no sense to me)

We ended up going to Goodwill. The place was packed with great stuff but unfortunately most of it was priced too high for my budget. I'm not sure how it happened but a Magic 8 ball fell into my cart. It was half off so I decided to buy it to keep. It's a little hard to read but Ryker had fun asking it questions such as "Is Robbie a butt head".

I found this cute twin comforter. I'm debating on whether to keep it or sell it.

I bought this car set for Ryker and a small wooden toy box.

Vintage Fisher Price tool kit

I picked up two of these Little Tikes shape sorter sets. I had sold one in the past but forgot how little I made on it.

Cute monkey blanket

and the highlight of the day: A Baby Morgan blanket. Made in the U.S.A. and sells for a ridiculous amount on Ebay.

Thrift Store Finds

I wasn't going to go to the thrift store yesterday because it is so difficult to go with both boys. My one child is deaf and the other doesn't listen. So together in a thrift store is a nightmare. I went anyways and Robbie (my child who is deaf) found another lite brite. He has always been fascinated with lights ever since he was a baby. He also likes view masters and those toy computers.

Their plush bin was over flowing and it was hard to sort through especially since Ryker decided to run all over the store and not stay in the toy aisle. (yes, I am one of those parents. Sorry about that) He is usually good about not bothering people and putting things back.

Anyways, here is what I found. Does anyone recognize this monkey? The tag was removed.

The tag on this puppy read C.C. I'm assuming it is Carlton Cards but if I am wrong, please correct me.

Angry Bird Pig

I have sold this bear once before. He seems to be a decent seller. He is by Fisher Price.

I'm surprised that Barney still sells. I'm not sure what this one does as I have not tested him yet. I also found a Barney blanket but it was stained so it is in the wash.

Some Easter bunnies. They are Walmart brand so I'm sure they are not worth much but they are pretty cute.

I found a set of Old Maid cards. There are a couple missing but I couldn't resist. The graphics are awesome.

I thought these bracelets were cute. I tried one on in the store and had a hard time getting it off. They are made from soda can tabs. I thought of making some and selling them on Ebay but there isn't much money to be made with them.

and who can resist Rainbow Brite. I'm not good at putting puzzles together but the bottom was marked "all pieces here" so I hope that is accurate.

Tuesday Thrifty Finds

It sure doesn't look like spring is here. Mother Nature does not want to cooperate as evident in this photo.

But it has to arrive sometime, right? So what better way to be prepared than with these rubber boots.

Aren't they cute? I hardly ever find any type of shoe in my size so I was surprised to find these and scooped them up.

Other things I found today.

The coin purse in the lower right is actually a sewing kit. I have it listed on Ebay.

I love the Barbie kitchen set. I wish I had something like that when I was a kid. The oven lights up when you press a button. You can see it here on Ebay

Not sure why I picked up the freezer containers. They aren't worth much (around $10) so I will probably keep those for myself. You can never have too many storage containers, right?  The Barney is listed on Ebay and I will probably list the ringa majigs tomorrow.

Checking It Off My Want List

I have been wanting a library card catalog for some time. Unfortunately, they can be quite pricey. A few days ago we were coming back from McDonalds and I noticed a consignment shop I hadn't seen before. I'm sure it has been there for awhile. My husband doesn't like to go thrifting so I thought I would walk over there when the weather was good. Thursday, I had my chance.

On top of a dresser was a library card catalog. I looked it over and while it wasn't in pristine shape, it wasn't terrible either. I checked the price tag. I didn't have enough funds in my paypal so I left empty handed.

Luckily the next day, I sold two items on Ebay and had enough to cover the cost. I couldn't remember the name of the shop to call so I googled consignment shop and the avenue it was on and my city and their facebook page popped up. I called and asked if they still had the card catalog. They did and I told her I would be there shortly to pick it up.

It is quite heavy and my sister and I had a hard time getting it into her clown car. (Seriously, she has a clown car. You can't fit anything into it)

I plan on having my husband put heavy duty casters on it and using it as a coffee table like the one here.

Big Hug Mug

Yes, my friends, I found a Big Hug Mug. What you ask is a Big Hug Mug? Well, it is a mug that looks like the one Matthew McConaughey uses as an ashtray in the HBO series True Detective. The particular mug that appears on the show is from FTD and was last produced in 1999. The selling price on Ebay is between $60 to $100.

Scarce Finds

I hadn't found much for resale this week. I went to 3 different thrift stores too. It seems to be harder and harder to find something with a good profit margin with the thrift stores raising their prices.

Got this stroller and baby for Ryker (yes he is a boy but I don't want to tell him he can't play with certain toys. I'm sure my hubby won't be pleased)

Here's what I found today.

I had never seen or heard of the wooden viking until I saw it on another blog. Someone was showing off their collections. He was a bit pricey in my opinion but I'm going to keep him. I asked the manager to let me know if they get any more.

The lemonade pitcher and bar set I'm selling in my Etsy shop.

I found these t.v. trays on Monday. I passed on them because I did not want to pay that much. But the next day I went back with my sister and got them. I'm keeping them.

I bought these boots at the same shop I got the t.v. trays. After wearing them for a few hours, they are uncomfortable. I put them up for sale on Facebook.

A few weeks ago, I found a Hullabaloo game in the box. It was missing a triangle. I found one Monday without a box so I bought it to complete my other game.

I always pick up these Fisher Price Superstar stages. I haven't found one in awhile and am happy to see they have held their price on Ebay. They will still sell even if they are missing the microphone.

Thrifty Thursday Finds

I walked over to the thrift store, the one I have been avoiding all week. I see they cleaned their carpet. I should have stayed home as there wasn't much to be found.

I dug through the plush bin and found this cat. They used to be sold at Michael's but they chose not to go forward with the line. His name is Coco.

Try as I might, I could not stay out of the glassware aisle and found this mug. It says "If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch." It was pretty stained but I used a magic marker and it cleaned right up.

and the last thing I found was a leather jacket for myself. I have been wanting one for some time, but for some reason they are always priced to high for my liking. This one has a lot of wear but I feel it gives the jacket character. It is by Wilson's. I remember as a teen window shopping in their store and loving the smell of leather when you walked inside.

Birthday Finds

Yesterday was my birthday and what better way to spend a birthday than to go thrift store hunting? We only stopped at 2 stores but I found some good stuff.

The wooden box is for Ryker's blocks and the purse, I am keeping. I already sold the Tupperware shape sorter on FB. I could have gotten more on Ebay but it was really loose and I didn't want to risk an unhappy buyer. I also already sold one set of the Leap Frog fridge phonics. Every thing else is up for sale on Ebay.

My sister and I also went out to eat lunch. The restaurant we went to, gives you a percentage off based on your age. We got 42% off (Did I tell you it was my sister's birthday too? We are twins)

Daryl is guarding my cake. My sister can't be trusted. lol

Do not look at the flowers...

Whenever I order anything other than my usual I always get sick. For example, the Sunday before last, I got roasted chicken from another restaurant and got really sick. Then the night before my birthday, we went to a pizza place and I ordered the spaghetti. Yup, got sick again. So, I was taking no chances and got the chicken strips. I did not get sick.
