Rearranging A.K.A. Why Is Everything So Difficult

Since I haven't had many sales this weekend, I decided to move my shipping items from downstairs to upstairs where I have my inventory. Seems simple enough, right?

First I had to move my vintage table. I manage to get it out of the pantry and into the living room. I could not get it up the stairs unless I removed the legs. Flipping the table over, I saw this label.

Perhaps it should have come with a disclaimer: "You will never, ever be able to move your table again unless you take it completely apart." Yes, that is what I had to do. Take it completely apart.

I got it upstairs and brought all my shipping supplies and my blue cabinet up as well.

Here is my completed room.

Rude Much

Earlier today I was at the thrift store and I found a Tupperware Stencil kit with case. It wasn't priced and when I went to check out, the cashier asked "Mary" what the price was. She gave a price and I thought it was too high so I passed.

I came home and checked out the sold listings on Ebay. They were selling for a decent price so I decided to go back and get it. I walked down the alley to get to the store. I was in a hurry because I didn't want anyone else to buy it before I got a chance to. I didn't notice I had mud on my shoes and I had tracked it into the store. I asked "Mary" if she still had the stencil case. She said yes and went to go get it.

That is when she noticed my tracks. "What do you have on your shoes." she screamed at me. I looked down and felt terrible. "Is that tar?" I said I was sorry and that I was in the alley and it was most likely mud. Her reply, "I sure hope so." I was really embarrassed since there were other shoppers around. She made me feel so bad I almost offered to clean it up. It was an accident. I didn't purposefully track mud into the store.

She got the stencil kit and rang it up. Then like a punk she says "I should charge you more as it it worth a lot more than that but I won't since I told you the price earlier." Really? Since when did this store turn into Ebay?

I'm going to call the manager tomorrow and apologize for the mess but also state I should not have been treated like that. If the store wasn't so close to my house, I wouldn't even go back. I guess I will just try not to go on the days she is there.

What do you think? Should I call or let it pass?

Who Is Henry Dog

A few days ago I posted about finding a Henry dog and his girlfriend Henrietta at the thrift store. But who is Henry?

Henry was created in 1971 to be the Spokesdog for Animal Fair Toys. He had a girlfriend named Henrietta and several friends such as Clyde, Clara, Decker, Clem and Doogan.

Clyde

Clara

Decker

Clem

Doogan
He was marketed as " everything that a stuffed toy can be. Soft and cuddly, floppy and funny, with a wide eyed, innocent expression and a body that begs to be hugged".

These stuffed dogs are well sought after and command high prices on Ebay. This past weekend I sold my Henry dog for $99.99 and Henrietta for $69.99. Keep an eye out for these guys. Even damaged ones will sell.

Scarce Thrifting Finds

There hasn't been much of anything at the thrift store this week. I did find some vintage children's pictures. I paid more than I should have. Again, I suffered from empty hand syndrome. (I really need a cure for that before I either go broke or become a hoarder)

I love how the orange frames makes the art work pop.

Check out the puppy in this one.

Such a cute boy.

and I love the apple tree in this one.

I plan on adding them to my Etsy shop. I really need to start working on there to get some sales. I may also add them to Ebay.

Mention you seen these on my blog and I will give you $5 off shipping.

Vintage Ice Cooler

Saturday, I walked over to the thrift store to take a quick look around. I only had a few minutes to spare as I was suppose to be getting soda from Walgreens. After checking out the toys, I noticed a metal ice cooler near the back. I was hoping it was a Colemans as some of those go for good money on Ebay. It was a Thermos brand and at first I decided to pass. I then suffered from empty hand syndrome and picked it up on my way out.

It's metal with a plastic bottom. It even has a bottle opener on the side. I already have a box for it so now I wait for it to sell. You can check out my listing here Mention my blog and I will take off $10 for shipping.

3M Bouncy Ball, Henry Dog and Other Stuff

When we were kids, we used to play in the 3M plant parking lot. They used to have all these rubber balls we would collect. they ranged in size from 1" to 3" The smaller balls were plentiful but the bigger ones were quite rare. I remember seeing who could bounce their ball the highest. Today, I went over to the thrift store and Ryker wanted this bag of balls. Inside was one of the bigger 3m balls. I haven't seen these in years. (no they probably are not worth anything...just memories)

Last week, not only did I find a Henry dog, but I found his girlfriend Henrietta. I got these at the half off sale.

Stitch from Lilo and Stitch

I always pick up these Scentsy plush pals and I sold him within 24 hours of listing

I also always pick up Folkmanis puppets. This ground hog sold within hours of listing for $29.99

Stepped out of my comfort zone and picked up this Tommy puffer jacket

I found this robotic vacuum some time ago. I haven't listed it yet on Ebay. I was hoping for a sale off Facebook

Kenny Plush Pal

I need to stop picking up coffee mugs but who can resist this smiley face one? bet it puts a smile on even the crankiest coworker

I'm tempted to keep this spice rack. It is still in it's original packaging but since I don't really cook, there is no point in keeping it.

Thrifty Thursday Finds

The thrift store had 50% off almost everything in their store today. I got a bunch of stuff but these are my favorite finds.

Even being half off, I paid more for this vintage barbeque tray than I would have liked. But how can one resist the graphics on this tray?

Salt and pepper shaker Whomever donated these, left the salt and pepper inside. I hate that.

Set of 4 coasters

and I picked up this sweater. It reminds me of the type that Katwise makes. It's my size too so I may keep it. I didn't realize the sleeve was twisted when I took the picture.

I also got a bunch of stuffed animals, a Tupperware tray, a blanket and some other stuff. I need to get to listing.
