Goodwill Finds

Sales have been dismal on Ebay this week. I need new inventory. There wasn't much at Goodwill but here is what I found. Hopefully, I can make some kind of profit.

I sold a set of Sesame Street letters last week and was excited to find another complete set. I only hope these go as fast.

The Wiggles car is a good seller. I sold one of these awhile ago. I don't remember for how much.

The bucket of soldiers I'm letting Ryker keep. They are not a high selling toy. I usually pass up the Chicco shape sorter because they are never complete. This one has the keys but is missing a shape and 2 animals. I'm not sure it will sell on Ebay so I posted it on my Facebook page.

If you see anything you like, it is for sale in my Ebay store.

Riding In Our Big Red Car

I sold this basket today on facebook for $15

and I bought this for Ryker:

The Wiggles Big Red Car cost me $12 so I also bought all this:

and had .50 cents left over. The giraffe is a sit on "Plush Pal" toy for toddlers. It is designed with a steel frame for sturdiness and supports up to 140 pounds. It is super soft and cuddly despite the frame. It is no longer available. His name is George. Walmart sold three other characters: Ella the Elephant, Leo the Lion and Penny the Pony. These were special buys back in 2008. I have not found any on Ebay so I will have to do more research. One could also use this as a foot stool.

Isn't he cute? We went to McDonalds and he was sitting in the back seat. The cashier made a comment about what a cute giraffe we had and Bill tried to give it to her. She said, "I don't think your wife would be too happy with that." No, I certainly would not.

What $5 Bought

Two Fridays ago I went to my favorite thrift store with my sister. There really wasn't a whole lot of stuff I hadn't seen before. They do have some nice pieces of furniture, but purchasing that would require me to ask hubby to pick it up and who wants to go through that drama. And I can hear him say "Where are you going to put that? We don't need it." He honestly has no vision. Anyways here is what $5 bought plus a gordita from Taco Bell which was promptly eaten before any pictures were taken.

All items except for the A&W mug are for sale in my Ebay store. The cowboy lantern is a tea light holder but you could add a light to make it a night light for your little cowboy.

Treasure Sale

Yesterday, I went to St Matthew's Annual Attic and Treasure Sale. It is a huge event held for two days. I wanted to go again today but it has been raining all morning and this is held outside under big tents. I wish I had taken some pictures to show but DH wanted me to hurry up. He waited in the truck. Since I was under a time frame and it was crowded, I only got a few items. I wanted to check out the book tent but there were to many people to manuever a stroller through. Here is what I found:

paid: $2.60

We also went to some garage sales. The brown picture frame I redid yesterday. You can see the makeover here I found my first Starbucks coffee cup and another Fire King cereal bowl which I am keeping. The Blue's Clue's puzzle is going into a lot I am making.

paid: $3.50

Here are some thrift store finds from earlier this week.

paid:$2.11

I am keeping the computer and book for Ryker. The dolls are up for auction but have no bids. I'm not sure what I am going to do with the cards. It is not a full deck but the pictures are cute and I was thinkng I could do some craft project with them.

Since Ryker moved into a big boy bed, I went looking for a bed rail to prevent him for falling out. I found this along with a Diego plush and a rotary phone on Friday.

paid $3.18

Unfortunately, the rail is meant for a twin size or bigger bed and is not safe to use with Ryker. (He climbs over it which defeats the purpose)I have listed it on Craig's List. It has a retail value of $40.

That's it for now. I still have some other finds from earlier this week but I will stop boring you and post them at another time. If you are new to reading my blog, please consider becoming a follower. Once I hit 50, I will do a giveaway. I am currently at 48.

Thrift Store Finds

We walked over to my favorite thrift store yesterday. I'm trying to find some outdoor toys as now Ryker really likes going outside and screams and hollers if you don't let him. Of course we have nothing for him to play with and I have to drag out some of his inside toys. I didn't find any outside toys, there were a few bikes but were in bad shape, but found some great items to resell on Ebay. Here is what I got:

Robbie is keeping the two toys on the left along with the phone. When I first saw him with the cell phone, I thought he may have taken it from a worker. Right when I was asking Brian about this, Ryker grabbed a vase off a table. I tried to grab it from him and at that moment, he threw it, breaking it into a hundred pieces. Uggghhhh.  The plush animals I am selling on Ebay. Most of them are up for auction except the blue elephant.

When I first saw the elephant, I didn't think it was anything special. In fact I was going to auction it at $4.99 But before I listed it, I checked Terapeak. This is a good tool to determine what to sell your item at. I have the free version so I can only go back 14 days. One used elephant sold for $29 This elephant is from the John Lennon Collection and plays the song Imagine. I put him in my store for $32 or Best Offer.

The brown bear plays pat a cake. I added this video to the listing in the hopes that I get some bidders. I think I started the auction at $9.99

I am adding the books to my lots.

Happy thrifting!
