Some Past Finds

I haven't done a finds post in awhile, so here are a few things I have thrifted over the last few weeks.

Play Mobil Castle set. This was in the green storage tote with tape all over the top of it, so I wasn't sure what exactly I was buying. Hopefully all the pieces are there.

Kodak Easy Share paper and ink cartridge set. It is missing two of the 4 ink and 3 packs of paper but should still go for good money.

Some baby dolls. Not sure if they are worth much but they are cute.

A Blue's Clues Refrigerator I know some Blue's toys can go for a lot but Ryker has decided this is his and I haven't looked it up yet.

Some vintage leg warmers. I thought this looked cool but not sure if they are a good seller.

Child's plate set. I sold an older version of this in November for around $30 I think?

A Tickle Me Elmo TMX Special Edition that I traded some mini-cabbage patch dolls for.

Pikachu that I bought in a lot of toys from Facebook

and an owl bank that my niece found for me while we were at Goodwill.

What $5 Bought

I walked over to the Dime and Dollar and they were having half off all their Christmas stuff for today only. I found some cute stuff but even with half off, it was out of my price range. Here is what I did get though.

Four cotton spun snowmen These are really cute. I'm debating whether or not to put them in my Ebay store. Right now I have them posted on my Facebook garage sale page. The big ones are 12" and the little ones are 9" and 10".

Fireman Santa Figure This is pending sale on my Facebook Group. There is a member that collects firemen stuff and he has bought from me in the pass.

and some Blue's Clues figures (not half off but only a dime a piece)

Goodwill Finds

After our birthday lunch, my sister and I went to Goodwill to see what they had. I came across this LV purse and knew it was most likely a fake but I wanted it anyways. The inside lining needs a good cleaning. I paid more than I would have liked to for a used purse but planned on keeping it. Of course I changed my mind, and since it is most likely a replica, I put it for sale on Facebook.

I also found this cute Alice in Wonderland wallet. If it does not sell on Ebay, I plan on using it as a camera case.

I know Jansport is a good seller for book bags, but I'm not sure how well the messenger bags sell. This one is in really good shape, so I took a chance on it.

I already sold this Blues Clues felt book for $21.99 I originally had it set for auction and got a message from a buyer stating how she wished it was a BIN because she wanted to give it as an Easter gift. I had 3 watchers but was happy to add a BIN and she paid right away. The last one to sell on Ebay sold for $19.99 with free shipping. My shipping wasn't free.

The last thing I bought was this vintage key tree. I love how each hook is labeled with what key should go there. The hooks say: Observation Tower, Model T, Strong Box, Dungeon, Wine Cellar and Treasure Chest.

GoodWill Finds

Finally was able to get to Goodwill this morning.

I am keeping the No No Jack book for Ryker and selling the rest in my Ebay store. I have a complete double size set of the Holly Hobbie sheets and a complete set of the Wall-E sheets. I hope to at least get $20 a piece. I also found a Jansport book bag. I'm not sure how much a used one will go for but if it does not sell, one of my kids can use it for school.

Goodwill does have a better selection of items but no one can beat the prices of my favorite thrift store. I hope to go back tomorrow and get some books I saw there yesterday and a computer toy that has been there for awhile.

Happy thrifting!

Creepy guy at the thrift store...

Seriously, STOP hitting on me.

I walked over to my favorite thrift store today and had 2 teensy weensy (ok they were paper shopping bags) full of stuff to donate. I crammed them under Ryker's stroller with the hopes of getting rid of them there. When I arrived, I asked the guy where I can put my donations. He gave me a funny look and asked what they were. I said some clothes and other stuff. He replied "We are not taking any more donations. You'll have to try Goodwill or somewhere else." Yeah Ok I'll just walk the 9 miles to get there.

Dilemma, dilemma. What to do? I certainly did not want to bring the items back home but I couldn't leave them there. Or could I? I went to the back of the store (this place is a huge warehouse with 2 sides) and when no one was looking, I shoved my bags under a table and covered them up with a tarp. (I really hope t.s. guy isn't reading this and if you are, I most certainly did not do that.... oh and stop hitting on me. You are creeping me the fuck out) So can I actually get away with this? Did they see the big bags when I came in? Who the hell am I fooling? You'd have to be blind not to. Would they noticed said big bags were no longer under my stroller?

Getting away getting away... I looked around for about 30 minutes when not creepy guy found me and started talking to me. He apologized about not being able to take the donations (oh yeah you took them. You just don't know it yet) and about how they have so much stuff. He also told me they could no longer sell clothes because of something to do with the lease. It wasn't in the contract or some other bull shit. Anyways, I was starting to feel a little guilty about sneaking my items into their store. I quickly got over that when I found this beauty. Who doesn't need a stretched out Coke bottle?

Seriously, how cool is that? (I am becoming more of a hoarder each and every day) Some other items I picked up included some Polly Pocket crap (I'll save until I get some more to sell in a lot), Blue's Clues Christmas ornaments in house case, a hand held electronic game Robbie picked up along with another view master. The last two items are not pictured because Robbie took off with them.

I only paid $1.10 for all this awesomeness. and my bags of crap... still undiscovered under the table I hope.
