Awesome Finds

I found a couple of cool items at the thrift store. Even though I am in the process of KM'ing my home, it's hard for me to stay out of the thrifts especially since I'm a reseller and it's only 4 houses away.

I almost didn't get this light but after carrying it around the store for 15 minutes, I decided I could use it in my living room. I also bought a plant hanger to hang the light. The only downside is the switch is really close to the plug in (instead of closer to the light) and I have to move my couch to reach it.

Here's what it looks like when it is off.

Even the bulb is cool.

I love Seinfeld and had to buy this. Unfortunately, the shirt has since fallen off the tape and I can not fix it.

I thought this beaver floating soap dish was cute. It even came with a bar of soap.

Pretty sure the gum is inedible but I bought this My Little Pony gumball machine anyways.

This Alvin and the Chipmunks alarm clock from 1990 works.

and some coasters with Barney-isms from How I Met Your Mother

Church Sale Finds and Where The Hell Did My Reading List Go?

Apparently blogger has decided I waste too much time reading blogs and removed my reading list. It's been gone for a few days now. I think I can still get to blogs off my blog list but who knows. I also got approved for adsense but can not figure out how to put them at the bottom of each individual blog. It's at the very bottom of my page and I doubt anyone can even see it.

Anyways, the church by my house had their annual garage sale. I was hoping to get there bright and early on Thursday but it was raining and I didn't go until 1. I was surprised there was still some good stuff left.

I've learned a lot about Little Golden Books over the past few days. Like for example, the copyright date does not help to determine edition. The copyright usually means the copyright of the story not the book.  The oldest books have the printing listed in the front. The next books, the A determined the first edition. It can be found on the last page of the book almost in the spine. A is first, B is second and so on. I do actually have some first editions but a lot of them are newer.

I was hoping to find some older Fisher Price sets but only found these.

I wish I had picked up the other bargain bags of toys because I think the floats to these Sea Ponies were in there.

a very tiny Popple

a sweet vintage baby doll

and some more books

I found out yesterday the church donated their left overs to the thrift store I go to. I'm hoping the doll house they had got donated. I asked my favorite clerk and she said she would keep her eyes out for it and save it for me.

Garage Sale Finds

Instead of going grocery shopping, I convinced my sister to check out some garage sales I seen posted on facebook.  (Those sucked but the other sales were ok)

The first sale almost everything was priced a quarter. I wish I would have picked up some stuff there, but I wasn't sure if it would sell or not: floppy disks, an old slide projector($5) and some old magazines. I did pick up a container of mini erasers. I know the vintage ones can sell so I thought I would try these.

The second sale we found by chance. Sarah was turning to go back the other way and she spotted the sale. It looked promising with a bunch of kid's toys in the driveway. Unfortunately, almost everything was overpriced. $18 for a Fisher Price Musical table? I think not. Dude, you are selling your stuff in a driveway. Seriously! I did find a bag of Cowboys and Indians for Sarah and this Wonder Pets Fly Boat. I also bought that truck for Ryker in the first picture.

The sale on Facebook was next but didn't have much. Everything was well picked through but there were several other sales on the block so we stopped. I got some more hot rollers for .50 cents and two OCC coffee mugs for free.

I had to dig through a huge garbage bag of plush to find the Diego doll (for Ryker) and the four (one is not pictured above) security blankets.

The next stop I found some vtg My Little Pony. They are in well played with condition. I also picked up a Barbie car Ryker wanted. I wasn't going to buy it, but he threw it at the seller and the light cover fell off. It was an easy fix but the seller gave me that look so I bought it.

and at the last sale, I found a vintage puffalump with his shirt. I have sold two in the past for around $25.

Later in the day, I picked up a lot of Pocket Puppies off Facebook. This was the same lady I got the Kelly lot from. I'm wondering if she is figuring out I'm reselling the stuff on Ebay?

On Monday, I'm going to meet another person to buy a lot of Little Pet Shop. It's hard to tell from the picture but she says there are pets in there. Here's to hoping they are worth something.

My Little Pony Lot

I picked up the My Little Ponies from facebook. I blogged about them yesterday. I spilt them into 3 lots on Ebay. Hopefully, I will be able to triple my investment. If I wasn't so lazy, I could look up their names and probably sell them separately. I'm hoping another reseller will come along and scope them up. I don't think I have any valuable ponies, they all look like newer ones to me. Here is how I grouped them.

PVC Figures with Buildings and Accessories

3" pony lot of 12

and 5" pony lot of 9

Some of them are not My Little Pony but I hope that does not affect them selling. If any of my readers are interested in purchasing them, click here.
