Church Treasure Sale Finds

The church by our house is having their annual treasure sale until Saturday. I didn't even know it had started but we drove past there this morning and I saw the signs. I'm so grateful we did because I probably would have never known and missed out on two great items. I'm so thankful. God is good.

I thought I would never find one of these, let alone 2. I almost wet myself. They are Fisher Price bunny security blankets. They are from the 70's I think.

I also picked up the Fisher Price delivery van. It has all the letters inside. I don't think they sell very high but I seem to sell them quickly. There is suppose to be a mail guy and a cart thing but mine are missing. I won't pick them up unless they have all the cards. (13 because they are double sided)

All these items will be listed in my Ebay store here Most of my items have Best Offer so let's make a deal.

Meh... Sales Down, Mood Down

But I did get a promotion for 2000 free 30 day fixed price listings. Now that is my kind of promo. I used the sell similar feature to re list a lot of my items that expired. I had a couple of items in my consignment shop box but haven't taken them in yet. If they don't sell by the end of these 30 day listings, I will take them in.

I found the holy grail of hot rollers today. Shhhh, my Goodwill still hasn't caught on. It's nice to see the Remington Tight Curls are still holding their value. Mine didn't come with clips.

I also found the Body waves but again, no clips.

I've done pretty well selling the Conair hot lather shaving cream dispenser and today I found the chrome version.

I found a couple of baby blankets and some lovies.

This lion clown is over 40" tall. I only saw one other listed. I hope that is a good sign.

The thrift store by my house has these bargain bags where you can get a Ziploc full of miscellaneous items. I found two wiggle worms in 2 different bags.

Yeah, one should probably not eat the candy with this Wall E pez dispenser.

Six Days

Six days without a sale on Ebay. What is one to do? Well, go shopping of course. Monday, I went to Goodwill. It is getting harder to find anything for resale as their prices have gone up quite a bit. For example, I used to be able to buy baby blankets for half the cost they are now. Since the thrift store by my house barely gets any blankets, I have no choice but to buy them at GW.

I found this Mickey Mouse baby blanket. Normally I will not buy Mickey as the market seems to be saturated but this was a Biederlack and they seem to sell for good money. I still have my large Mickey blanket from when I was a kid and those are selling for around $90. I would sell mine but it is in bad shape.

I also found this Marshall Fields blanket. There is only one other listed on Ebay that I could find and that seller is asking a ridiculous amount in my opinion.

I also picked up this new security blanket from Hallmark.

I thought these bookends were cool. Too bad they are not vintage or made in Italy as those were selling high.

The last time I sold one of these musical stages, the price had really dropped. I'm glad to see the price went back up.

Yesterday, I walked over to the thrift store with Robbie. He is in a Special Needs classroom and they did not have school yesterday. He found himself a Spiderman toy computer. He loves those things. As I was checking out, I spotted a Coach purse locked in the glass counter. Normally, I can spot a fake a mile away. This one however looked real. I asked to see it. My hunch was correct and it was real. I am trying to sell it on FB as Ebay is over saturated with them and all it takes is one competitive person to report it as fake. I'd rather not take that chance. If it doesn't sell, I will keep it for myself. You can join my FB group here. It is open to anyone and I will gladly ship if you pay for shipping.

I also found a blanket and some toys at the thrift store. You can view these items in my Ebay store here

Some Thrifty Finds

It's been awhile since I posted some of my finds. Here are a couple of things I found over the last month.

There is a lady at the thrift store that saves me old Fisher Price toys. I almost did not come in that day but wanted to check real quick and she had save me these 3 play sets. The School House I did not take photos of but here are the other two.

Fisher Price Family Home

Fisher Price Family farm

She also sold me a big bag of people and furniture that I'm keeping for Ryker. I have not listed these 2 play sets but if you are interested, send me a message.

Toy Story blanket

When my son saw this My Buddy doll, he said "That is one scary doll"

I sold this Rainbow Brite doll on FB for $20 I thought she was vintage but she is the talking one from 2004

A vintage afghan. My mom used to make these when we were younger.

I don't have much luck selling these, but I have a hard time passing up vintage bibs. This is the third one I have found still in the package.

I found a recalled Snuggle bear. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with him since I can not resell him and I would not want to redonate him. The eyes and nose are suppose to come off easy but I tried biting them off and they did not move. Guess those babies have a stronger bite.

I love Paddington but I have a hard time selling him. The market is over saturated.

I read in one of my FB Ebay groups that these oxycisors can go for big money. So far no bites on mine.

and some owls

Treasure Sale Finds

One of our local churches had their annual treasure sale yesterday and today. I went yesterday with my sister. I ended up ruining my new pair of Nikes because I didn't think about the rain we got beforehand and the field it was held in was covered in mud.

It was hard to look at stuff with a 4 year old and my older child. They tend to wander. Ryker isn't too bad because he stayed by me but Robert is hearing impaired and quite fast. If you lose sight of him, it's not like you can call his name and he will come back to you. Anyways, I managed to miss a vintage Fisher Price circus train with animals and people. My sister spotted it and said "Don't you want this?" Of course I did. I have been collecting the play sets for Ryker even though some can sell for good money on Ebay. When he no longer has interest in them, I will probably sell them.

Here are some things I bought.

When I was paying for the penguin, some small boy came up to the table and said "I want the penguin" His dad said "No. Let's look for something else." To which the boy said again "I want the penguin." I was about to give it to him but the dad had already dragged him away.

I didn't get to really look at housewares because it was cold and I was afraid my boys would break something and I was ready to go. I don't do well with big crowds and I was done by then. We did go to 3 garage sales nearby but I only found one thing. I have never seen this toy before but some sellers are trying to get over $100 for their NIB one. It's called Baby Moppets Secret Nursery. The play set is hidden by the cloth for the bassinet. The seller showed me how it went together. She said she is 36 and it was hers from her childhood.

All these items are available in my Ebay store.

Half Off Sale

The thrift store by my house is having a half off sale until Saturday. It rained most of the day but I managed to go for a hour while the rain stopped. I didn't find too much though.

Some stuffed animals

Ice Age 2 blanket

and a Curious George frame

A few days before I found another Henry dog. This is the 3rd one I found at that particular store.

a scentsy cat

and at another store I found a vintage child's suitcase. I think these are so cute. I would keep it for my son but he doesn't go on sleepovers.
