What To Sell: Little Miss No Name

Back in 1965, Hasbro introduced a new type of doll: Little Miss No Name. She was an orphan designed to pull at the heartstrings of young children. In her commercial, she was seen standing in a dark alley with snow falling down. She was barefoot and not wearing a coat only her patched up burlap dress. She had big brown eyes similar to the Margaret Keene paintings of that era. Her hair was uneven and dirty and her hand was out streched as if begging for change. Her slogan was "I need someone to love me. I am so tired and cold. Please take me home with you and I will be yours to hold."

Unfortunately, LMNN was not a big seller and was discontinued shortly after. However, there are a lot of collectors of these dolls, she has her own facebook page, and they can sell for good money on Ebay. One in the box recently sold for $299 You can view ended listings here

If you happen to be in the market for one of your own to love, I am selling one on ebay. Click here

Treasure Sale Finds

St Matthews Church had their annual treasure sale this past weekend. I only went on Saturday. Since I had Robbie with, I didn't get much. It was hard to dig when he kept wandering off.

The videos are for Ryker and since I did not notice Pink Panther was damaged, my sister is going to buy him. She found the Jellycat alligator.

I debated about keeping the deer. However, I listed them on ebay.

The John Lennon elephant was dirty so I didn't list him yet. Same with the Gund yellow musical bear. But I did list the other two musical toys.

I found two Harry Potter items. They had a Golden Snitch lamp but one of the wings was broken and I want to say it was missing the bulb. It's a shame because they seem to sell high on ebay.

Most of their older "antique" items were priced high. I did get these two squeak toys though. Some of these toys can sell for a lot on Ebay. The bear one does not squeak but the mouse does.

I sold one of these shape sorters awhile back. The handle on this one is broken but I would think one could superglue it back together.

and Baby's First Bear

I wish I would have gone back on Sunday as they had boxes of plush under the sell tables. They were huge boxes and I didn't know if they would allow me to dig through them. I think I will ask next year.

Church Treasure Sale Finds

The church by our house is having their annual treasure sale until Saturday. I didn't even know it had started but we drove past there this morning and I saw the signs. I'm so grateful we did because I probably would have never known and missed out on two great items. I'm so thankful. God is good.

I thought I would never find one of these, let alone 2. I almost wet myself. They are Fisher Price bunny security blankets. They are from the 70's I think.

I also picked up the Fisher Price delivery van. It has all the letters inside. I don't think they sell very high but I seem to sell them quickly. There is suppose to be a mail guy and a cart thing but mine are missing. I won't pick them up unless they have all the cards. (13 because they are double sided)

All these items will be listed in my Ebay store here Most of my items have Best Offer so let's make a deal.

Thrift Store Bucket List

I found one item this week from my bucket list. I've been wanting one for quite some time. and it's blue!

This isn't on my bucket list but I usually pick them up if they are priced right.

Ever Wear Trav l Bar

I have been KM'ing my house for the past few weeks and noticed I had 5 staplers. Before I donated this one, I checked ebay solds. They sell for around $20. I hope it sells soon.

I had been trying to sell my son's Little Tike tool bench for over a month now. I finally gave up and donated it to Goodwill. I did keep the phone to resell. They sell for around $15 with free shipping.

It is getting hard to find these lovies in the thrifts by me but I did find 2 more this week. I was hoping the puppy was worth a little bit more. It is by Bunnies By The Bay.

I'm running a sale today until tomorrow night. Please check out my ebay store here

Awesome Finds

I found a couple of cool items at the thrift store. Even though I am in the process of KM'ing my home, it's hard for me to stay out of the thrifts especially since I'm a reseller and it's only 4 houses away.

I almost didn't get this light but after carrying it around the store for 15 minutes, I decided I could use it in my living room. I also bought a plant hanger to hang the light. The only downside is the switch is really close to the plug in (instead of closer to the light) and I have to move my couch to reach it.

Here's what it looks like when it is off.

Even the bulb is cool.

I love Seinfeld and had to buy this. Unfortunately, the shirt has since fallen off the tape and I can not fix it.

I thought this beaver floating soap dish was cute. It even came with a bar of soap.

Pretty sure the gum is inedible but I bought this My Little Pony gumball machine anyways.

This Alvin and the Chipmunks alarm clock from 1990 works.

and some coasters with Barney-isms from How I Met Your Mother

Thrifty Finds

I debated back and forth about getting this dresser at the thrift store. I saw it first on Tuesday but didn't have enough money to purchase it. Wednesday, I went to Parents At School so I didn't have a chance to drop in. I walked over there this morning and it was still there. I looked at it again. It is solid wood and although it has been painted, they didn't do too bad of a job. Still, I left it there.

I went over to the grocery store to take out the cash I needed. I went back to the thrift store and looked at it again. Again, I left it there.

I walked over to another thrift store and even though I wasn't really looking at the coffee cups (I have sworn off buying them) I spotted this one behind a couple of mugs. I may keep it for myself since the price has dropped so dramatically on Ebay.

I went back home and called my sister. One of the reasons I was so hesitant on buying the dresser, is because I did not have a way to get it home. I asked my sister if she could meet me there tomorrow if I bought the dresser today. She agreed and I finally went to purchase it.

When I arrived at the thrift store, a lady I knew from the Facebook garage sale pages was getting out of her minivan. I approached her sheepishly and asked if she could help me out by delivering the dresser to my house. She said she could help. My sister lives in another town so this helped a lot. I offered to pay her some cash but she turned it down. There truly are some good people here.

On Thursday, the t.s. has a dice game where you roll a die and a certain number equals a percentage off. A roll of 6 will get you 30% off. I picked up the die and wouldn't you know, I rolled a 6! Now I have to figure out what to do with the dresser. My son needs a better one so I might give it to him. For now, it is sitting in my kitchen pantry.

Sold This... Bought That

Since I purchased a Little Tikes book shelf last week, I no longer needed the plant stand I was using so I sold it on Facebook.

I walked over to the thrift store yesterday and found, not one

not two

but three Transformers

I also found this vintage Reed and Barton bowl. It has a lot of tarnish and I wonder if I should clean it up? It isn't worth much.

I can usually sell these wooden puzzles fairly quickly but the last one I found has been sitting for awhile. I believe that one is a giraffe. The one I found yesterday is a duck sitting on water. It has the alphabet on one side and numbers on the other.

Both the bowl and the duck are listed in my Ebay store. The transformers I'm going to keep for awhile or until Ryker gets tired of playing with them. Check out my Ebay store here.

Sold This... Bought That

I sold these two items off Facebook this afternoon. I was using the bathroom shelf but my hubby kept hitting his head on it. Don't ask how, because I have no clue.

Today was the last day of the 50% off sale at the thrift store. I wanted to get this roll of tickets I saw there yesterday, (for rewarding Ryker for good behavior) but I couldn't find it anywhere. I'm assuming it sold. I got this stuff instead.

I love the old wood on this picture frame. Whomever made this, didn't really do a good job as the picture is bubbling all over but I don't care. I still love it. It looks better in real life. It's not as faded as it looks here.

I also bought these 2 Ball canning jars. I found some candles to put inside but I'm not sure what I want to fill them with. (btw the t.s.charges a ridiculous amount for these jars even at half off)

I wish I would have found 2 of this candle holder because I like how it sits inside the jar.

This holder sits above the jar.

If anyone has any idea what I should fill them with, let me know in the comments. Thank you

If You Can't Sell It...

Repurpose It.

I found this vintage Sears Hotdog skateboard back in September. I don't know anything about skateboards so I almost didn't pick it up. I left it at the thrift store, went home and did an Ebay search. One in mint condition sold for $135 so I was hoping I could make at least $50 - $60 This was back in September.

I think I originally listed it at $79.99 or best offer. I got some watchers and one buyer offered me $20. Month after month it sat with plenty of watchers but no offers. I decided to list it at $49.99 without Best Offer. Still no takers.

Earlier today I was watching the latest Walking Dead episode where Tyreese was in the twin boy's bedroom and inspiration struck. I was going to make a shelf out of my skateboard. I took the listing down and went to work. I already had the brackets because I was going to originally make a board game shelf but never got around to it. I didn't want to screw the brackets to the skateboard, so for now it is resting on the brackets.

Now if I can only figure out what to do with all these stuffed animals...

Thrifty Finds

I'm not really sure what I want to do with this vintage milk crate. The tag from the thrift store said it was from Golden Dairy. Right now, I have it sitting on my library catalog holding my scale and paper. (If anyone has a front for the library card catalog drawer, please message me)

I normally don't buy Pyrex but the price was too good to pass on this small yellow bowl. Most pieces I find have dishwasher damage or are badly scratched. This piece has some scratches but isn't bad.

I'm debating whether I should sell these records together as a group or with my Fisher Price record player. I have had that player for quite some time and wish someone would buy it. It did sell at one point and after I printed the label, the buyer messaged me all irate calling me shady because she had asked me to cancel the transaction. I never got a message prior to that one and when I called Ebay, they said she never asked to cancel. Turns out she found a cheaper one.

A Barney phone that oddly sells for around $15 on Ebay

Another Paddington rattle. My first one is wearing a yellow hat.

The replacement silo for the Fisher Price barn. Hopefully the next time I go, they have the barn and animals.

Leo from Little Einsteins

My trip would not be complete without a plush. So here is Snoopy.

The thrift store puts all their little toys into bargain bags. Usually, there is only one or two things I want from each bag but I have to purchase the whole bag. I have been saving the baby toys to put into a lot. Here is one lot I have.
