Thrift Store Finds

Some things I found this week.

The hand is for Ryker but the other items are for sale in my ebay store.

I bought this for my ferrets but they keep chewing on the mouse so I think I might see if the cat will play with it.

I also picked up this cat figurine. Look how small it is.

Would You Have Bought It?

I went to Goodwill today and found a x ray light box. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with it. Probably use it as a night light. I looked on ebay for x ray images but it seems they sell them in pound lots. Like I don't want 62 images. I just want one to display. The only listing I found for a single one is a seller in the U.K. and I really don't want to pay 20$ for shipping.

Both sides do work. I paid 16$ with tax and round up. Would you have bought it? What would you use it for? Leave a comment below.

Would You Have Bought it?

I found this bacon clock at Goodwill yesterday for $4.99 It didn't have batteries in it. Since they don't check their items, I asked a team leader for a screwdriver and batteries. She didn't have a small enough screwdriver. Since they are not taking returns, except on clothes, I was a little concerned about wasting my money. The team leader told me if it didn't work, she would allow me to return it.

I got it home and it works.

Thrift Store Finds

We stopped at Goodwill today on our way to get ice cream. I found two things that caught my eye: a giraffe pillow and a cat figurine.

Who doesn't love a giraffe with glasses and blowing bubbles, right.

I've seen the cat before but have never found one with the bowl. I think I will put the small painted rocks I have inside it.

Have you gone thrifting yet? Find anything good? Leave a comment below.

Would You Have Bought It?

I have been looking for something to store my winter blankets in. I wanted a chest or a trunk. I found both. Now I'm not sure if I should keep both or sell one.

On Saturday, I found a trunk at the thrift store. Unfortunately, someone painted it a baby poop brown. I don't see these often, so I bought it. It was marked $39.99 but with my 25% discount, it came to a little over $32 with tax. I want to see if I can get someone to repaint it white.

Today, I went to Goodwill and sitting in the furniture section was a Lane cedar chest. My husband thought it was too much at $49.99 I remember years ago buying one new for over $100 and it wasn't a Lane chest. It's a little scratched up on top and missing the key but in otherwise good shape.

So now I have 2 things to store my blankets in. They should all fit in the cedar chest and at this time, I'm storing my childhood toys in the trunk.

Would you have bought either?

Thrift Store Bucket List

I found one item this week from my bucket list. I've been wanting one for quite some time. and it's blue!

This isn't on my bucket list but I usually pick them up if they are priced right.

Ever Wear Trav l Bar

I have been KM'ing my house for the past few weeks and noticed I had 5 staplers. Before I donated this one, I checked ebay solds. They sell for around $20. I hope it sells soon.

I had been trying to sell my son's Little Tike tool bench for over a month now. I finally gave up and donated it to Goodwill. I did keep the phone to resell. They sell for around $15 with free shipping.

It is getting hard to find these lovies in the thrifts by me but I did find 2 more this week. I was hoping the puppy was worth a little bit more. It is by Bunnies By The Bay.

I'm running a sale today until tomorrow night. Please check out my ebay store here

A New Table

Like I really needed a new table but I couldn't pass this one up. I found it yesterday along with an hanging office wall organizer. It took me 45 minutes to get that on the wall only to discover it is crooked. A handy man I am not.

I also found this cute little clown to resell. I thought it was one that someone in Plush Memories was looking for but sadly I was wrong. Its in my Ebay store here

Sold This... Bought That

A few days ago I went through my Ebay plush and took out the ones that have been sitting forever. These were mostly plush I bought when I first started selling stuffed animals. I would most likely not pick these up again. There were over 20 plush in this pile and I sold them on FB for $10

I found this book shelf at GW. I probably didn't need it but I couldn't pass up such a good deal, especially at GW.

I also got this Big Bird book holder for my Sweet Pickles books.

and with the rest of the money from my sale, I bought this Powerpuff girl figure and a kitty kitty kittens.

Christmas Decorating Thrift Style

Almost all my Christmas decorations have come from Goodwill or secondhand stores. A few things I bought off Ebay. I found a really nice honey hole last week in all places down town. I wish I would have brought my camera. There was so much stuff but I only got this animated Santa.

I had to move my other decorations to the bookshelf to make room for the Santa above.

My aluminum Christmas tree with not one, but two color wheels. Yes, it's ok to be jealous. I'm still hoping to find a pom pom tree or even a pink one.

ornaments

I thought this was a tree skirt when I bought it but it is a round table cloth.

If you have been following my blog for awhile, you will know I got my green tree at a consignment shop. I love the little fireplace. When we moved 2 years ago, one of the bulbs got broken for the fire. We have not replaced it yet.

It does have lights but every time I tried to take a photo with them on, it ended up blurry. Here is the angel topper.

I also found a few things to resell on Ebay. It maybe a little too late but I'm hoping there are still some people buying Christmas decorations. I know I buy all year long.

some vintage blow molds

This one is Tiny Tim. His cane tip is broken off.

This snowman blow mold is double sided. There is only one other like it listed on Ebay and that buyer is asking over $100 for theirs. I wasn't sure what to price mine at so I added Best Offer.

mini nutcrackers

unbreakable ornaments

Hallmark peek thru ornament. I thought about keeping this but most have been selling for over $15

Some Christmas Finds

There hasn't been much at the thrift store lately that I have been interested in. In fact, I have not listed anything new on Ebay because I can't find anything decent to sell. I did find a few Christmas decorations for myself.

PEACE stocking holders. This was $5.99 for the whole set. The had JOY which was in better condition but they wanted $2.99 for each letter. Not sure why they priced them that way when peace was one set price.

I'm not sure if this is a gnome or a Santa Claus. It was in with the Christmas decorations. It was more than I normally spend ($5 and that was half off) but he was too cute to pass up. The bottom says Made in Sweden. Maybe that is why it was priced high?

This tiny camel did not have a string for a hook, so I used the price tag string. He was only .80c

I originally bought this star topper for my tree but the cone was too small. I sold it on FB for $3

I ended up going back to the thrift store and getting this angel topper from the 80's for $1.50

Thrifty Finds

We went to Goodwill on Monday and there was this couple that were obviously resellers. They would grab something off the shelf and then look it up on their phones. It didn't bother me too much but since I don't have a phone, I wondered if what I put in my cart was already picked and researched by them? For example, this child's plate set. It looked like the couple were purchasing items that were new in the box so I wondered why they skipped this? I searched all over Ebay and haven't found any like this. It was made in 1987. The box says Top Gun F 14 child's plastic server.

I thought the Rock and Roll Mickey was a good seller so I picked him up. Maybe around Christmas, he will fetch a higher price?

I bought this Little Tikes doll house because it looked like there was furniture inside. They had a bunch of tape on it and I should have removed it to see what was inside. When I got to the car, it was pretty much junk but it did have one Little Tikes grandma doll. Ryker claimed this since it doesn't go for much.

Some of these Carter's dolls can go for big $$$. Unfortunately, this one does not.

I only found one other of these listed so I'm not sure it that is a good thing or not. There is nothing on Amazon either that I could find. It is by Little Tikes.

At St. Vinnies, I found a vintage Fisher Price fire truck, a Stewie doll and a My Banky pink cat.
