Meh... Sales Down, Mood Down

But I did get a promotion for 2000 free 30 day fixed price listings. Now that is my kind of promo. I used the sell similar feature to re list a lot of my items that expired. I had a couple of items in my consignment shop box but haven't taken them in yet. If they don't sell by the end of these 30 day listings, I will take them in.

I found the holy grail of hot rollers today. Shhhh, my Goodwill still hasn't caught on. It's nice to see the Remington Tight Curls are still holding their value. Mine didn't come with clips.

I also found the Body waves but again, no clips.

I've done pretty well selling the Conair hot lather shaving cream dispenser and today I found the chrome version.

I found a couple of baby blankets and some lovies.

This lion clown is over 40" tall. I only saw one other listed. I hope that is a good sign.

The thrift store by my house has these bargain bags where you can get a Ziploc full of miscellaneous items. I found two wiggle worms in 2 different bags.

Yeah, one should probably not eat the candy with this Wall E pez dispenser.

Sold This... Bought That

A few days ago I went through my Ebay plush and took out the ones that have been sitting forever. These were mostly plush I bought when I first started selling stuffed animals. I would most likely not pick these up again. There were over 20 plush in this pile and I sold them on FB for $10

I found this book shelf at GW. I probably didn't need it but I couldn't pass up such a good deal, especially at GW.

I also got this Big Bird book holder for my Sweet Pickles books.

and with the rest of the money from my sale, I bought this Powerpuff girl figure and a kitty kitty kittens.

Thrifty Finds

I'm not really sure what I want to do with this vintage milk crate. The tag from the thrift store said it was from Golden Dairy. Right now, I have it sitting on my library catalog holding my scale and paper. (If anyone has a front for the library card catalog drawer, please message me)

I normally don't buy Pyrex but the price was too good to pass on this small yellow bowl. Most pieces I find have dishwasher damage or are badly scratched. This piece has some scratches but isn't bad.

I'm debating whether I should sell these records together as a group or with my Fisher Price record player. I have had that player for quite some time and wish someone would buy it. It did sell at one point and after I printed the label, the buyer messaged me all irate calling me shady because she had asked me to cancel the transaction. I never got a message prior to that one and when I called Ebay, they said she never asked to cancel. Turns out she found a cheaper one.

A Barney phone that oddly sells for around $15 on Ebay

Another Paddington rattle. My first one is wearing a yellow hat.

The replacement silo for the Fisher Price barn. Hopefully the next time I go, they have the barn and animals.

Leo from Little Einsteins

My trip would not be complete without a plush. So here is Snoopy.

The thrift store puts all their little toys into bargain bags. Usually, there is only one or two things I want from each bag but I have to purchase the whole bag. I have been saving the baby toys to put into a lot. Here is one lot I have.

I also have a Facebook group you can join. You do not need to be from my area as I will ship items to you if you cover the shipping cost. You can join here

Half Off Sale

The thrift store by my house is having a half off sale until Saturday. It rained most of the day but I managed to go for a hour while the rain stopped. I didn't find too much though.

Some stuffed animals

Ice Age 2 blanket

and a Curious George frame

A few days before I found another Henry dog. This is the 3rd one I found at that particular store.

a scentsy cat

and at another store I found a vintage child's suitcase. I think these are so cute. I would keep it for my son but he doesn't go on sleepovers.

Scarce Finds Slow Sales

Uggh I'm back to slow sales again. I can't seem to get off this roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Currently, I'm down. Tomorrow, the local church is having their annual garage sale and I'm hoping to sell some things today so I can go check it out. Right now, my paypal balance is below $10 and I still haven't paid my Ebay fees. I put my entire store on sale, hoping to sell something. Anything.

The last few weeks have been dismal at the thrift store. I'm trying not to buy low profit items but lately that is all I can find. I bought some bargain bags for Ryker and in 4 of them, were one Littlest Pet Shop figure. I thought I'd check Ebay to see if they were worth anything. Two of the 4 should bring good money. The other two, not so much.

I found one of those Leap Frog magnet sets. This one is the airplane.

This carry case had 14 vintage Highlight magazines in it. I wish they had all been from the same year though.

Another thrift store had 2 Care Bear sleeping bags. I only bought the older one because the newer one was priced twice as much.

Barney puzzle and another Snuggle bear. I wish the Snuggle bears would sell as quickly as they used to. Also I think the price has dropped.

and a vintage Strawberry Shortcake card game

All of these items are available in my Ebay store. If you see something you like, shoot me an offer.

Ebay Auctions: Maybe Things Are Looking Up

If every weekend on Ebay would go this well, I would be one happy girl. I sold more this weekend, then I did the entire month of June. Unfortunately, price wise, I did not do so well. I sent over 300 items to auction, which ended this weekend. Of those, I sold around 31. 10% sell through rate, I'm not sure if that is good or bad?

Since I did auctions, I priced them low to move them out. The average selling price was around $4 an item. Not much profit but most of the items were going to be donated or sent to consignment. It took me less than 2 hours to pack and label everything so if I think about it, I made around $50 an hour.

I did make some mistakes by sending a few things to auction that I should not have. One is this Tyco Kitty Kitty. It sold for one bid of $19.99 It can easily sell BIN for twice that amount.

The second was a stencil kit by Tupperware. It sold with 2 bids at $20.50 Again this can go for twice, maybe even 3 times that amount.

The last mistake was this Lalaloopsy doll. I'm really not sure what I could have got BIN because prices are all over the place. I meant to start the opening bid at $9.99 but somehow put $4.99 and $9.99 BIN. Some bought it at the BIN price. I'm happy with the $9.99 because she was in the bag to go to consignment and I would not have made that much there.

I did have one auction that surprised me. I bought a bag of trivets and this little mini decoration frying pan was inside. I listed it for $9.99, the same price as the other trivets. This one sold and the others did not. What makes this sale more awesome, is it is being sent to a True Value store in my state.

Ebay is doing another auction special until the 29th. This time they have included fixed price but in only select categories.
