Do you remember Care Bears? Those bears have been hibernating for so long. But in 2001, they made a comeback. They were retro toys and they have the 1980s series to thank for their popularity.
American Greetings created these bears for use on greeting cards. In 1983 a toy company, Kenner, turned them into the plush teddies we know and love today.
Each Care Bear came in its own color along with a tummy symbol that represented his duty and personality. Adding to the Care Bear family were the Care Bear Cousins different animals such as a lion, puppy, monkey etc. They were created like the bears in their own color and tummy symbol.
These bears were brought back so that today's generation of kids would enjoy the bears that we enjoyed when we were younger.
