I found three owl lamps for sale on Facebook. I contacted the lady and she had her son meet me at Kwik Trip to pick them up. Unfortunately, one of the lamps had several cracks, so I did not get that one. I got the other two. The creamed color one probably needs to be rewired. The socket was bent and Bill fixed it but I do not trust that it will not start my house on fire. I may sell the brown one to a waitress Bill knows who collects owls. I hope she wants it because I do not need two lamps.

I don't think I have ever come across an owl lamp, those are so unique.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness these are very sweet and unique! Happy Alphabe Thursday!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, I love this beautiful collection of owls for the O. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I love these lamps; it's hard to grasp how large they are from a picture, but they really fill a room.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the one I posted about also has a slightly crooked socket - I think in my case, the pipe through which the wiring runs was a bit askew when the owls were cast, because there is no damage to the plaster in that area.
I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling one of them!
great post!
ReplyDeleteI like owls too! My hubby is a great ebay seller as well. He tries to sell something everyday. I am so impressed with how you find items and repair/resale items. thank you so much for stopping by, we are gong to an estate sale tomorrow, do you ever go to those?
ReplyDeleteInteresting find. Don't think I've seen owl lamps before! Those should sell- Owls are so popular now.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a lamp quite like these before. Unusual :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute. I love owls. My daughter asked me the other day about their eyes. She was wondering why their eyes were so big and their "noses" so small.
ReplyDeletecute lamps!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know you could buy stuff from Facebook!
ReplyDeleteI remember lamps like these from the 70's. I think I had two that were quite similar. It's funny how what is old becomes new again. I guess the only solution is to save everything you ever buy...
Hmmm...
Although that sounds suspiciously like hoarding.
Thanks for a fun and outstanding link to the letter "O".
A+
I bought one back in the '70's and it is painted alottttttt better than any of these. Owls are a light orange-brown and it is not painted with gloss paint.
