Some Finds

Some things I found this past week. Some are listed for sale on Ebay.

I found another item from my wish list. I have been wanting a bench with the storage cubes but this was priced right plus it is vintage. It is also in good condition.

I found a Pyrex bowl but was not familiar with the pattern. I went on FB and some people there told me it was Blue Horizon.

The screws are rusty on the battery compartment of this tap and twirl. I'm hoping my hubby can get them out. They are good sellers on Ebay. The batteries that are in it are almost dead but I got it to play music and light up but it doesn't twirl. I hope with new batteries it will spin.

I couldn't remember what this toy was called so I asked in a FB group. Jibber Jabber by Ertl

I've sold a couple of these Orphan Annie dolls. I probably should have left her there as she is quite dirty and Im afraid to wash her.

This hippo reminded me of the Fisher Price puffalump toys. It's by Dan Dee. I know the puppy version it well seeked after and sells for good money. I hope this one does as well. I did not see any others listed.

I have sold the pink version of this Baby Boom blanket before and I still get emails asking if I have one. I hope this blue one is as popular.

Some Thrifty Finds

It's been awhile since I posted some of my finds. Here are a couple of things I found over the last month.

There is a lady at the thrift store that saves me old Fisher Price toys. I almost did not come in that day but wanted to check real quick and she had save me these 3 play sets. The School House I did not take photos of but here are the other two.

Fisher Price Family Home

Fisher Price Family farm

She also sold me a big bag of people and furniture that I'm keeping for Ryker. I have not listed these 2 play sets but if you are interested, send me a message.

Toy Story blanket

When my son saw this My Buddy doll, he said "That is one scary doll"

I sold this Rainbow Brite doll on FB for $20 I thought she was vintage but she is the talking one from 2004

A vintage afghan. My mom used to make these when we were younger.

I don't have much luck selling these, but I have a hard time passing up vintage bibs. This is the third one I have found still in the package.

I found a recalled Snuggle bear. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with him since I can not resell him and I would not want to redonate him. The eyes and nose are suppose to come off easy but I tried biting them off and they did not move. Guess those babies have a stronger bite.

I love Paddington but I have a hard time selling him. The market is over saturated.

I read in one of my FB Ebay groups that these oxycisors can go for big money. So far no bites on mine.

Ebay Auctions: Maybe Things Are Looking Up

If every weekend on Ebay would go this well, I would be one happy girl. I sold more this weekend, then I did the entire month of June. Unfortunately, price wise, I did not do so well. I sent over 300 items to auction, which ended this weekend. Of those, I sold around 31. 10% sell through rate, I'm not sure if that is good or bad?

Since I did auctions, I priced them low to move them out. The average selling price was around $4 an item. Not much profit but most of the items were going to be donated or sent to consignment. It took me less than 2 hours to pack and label everything so if I think about it, I made around $50 an hour.

I did make some mistakes by sending a few things to auction that I should not have. One is this Tyco Kitty Kitty. It sold for one bid of $19.99 It can easily sell BIN for twice that amount.

The second was a stencil kit by Tupperware. It sold with 2 bids at $20.50 Again this can go for twice, maybe even 3 times that amount.

The last mistake was this Lalaloopsy doll. I'm really not sure what I could have got BIN because prices are all over the place. I meant to start the opening bid at $9.99 but somehow put $4.99 and $9.99 BIN. Some bought it at the BIN price. I'm happy with the $9.99 because she was in the bag to go to consignment and I would not have made that much there.

I did have one auction that surprised me. I bought a bag of trivets and this little mini decoration frying pan was inside. I listed it for $9.99, the same price as the other trivets. This one sold and the others did not. What makes this sale more awesome, is it is being sent to a True Value store in my state.

Ebay is doing another auction special until the 29th. This time they have included fixed price but in only select categories.

Thursday's Thrifty Finds

I actually did not go thrifting today. These are items I found last week. Not much for resale but I did find a couple of cool things for myself.

Backwards clock. It's a little confusing at first but I had to buy it. My sister saw it and told me about it. I asked her where it was and she pointed to it at the checkout. I asked if it was for sale and they said $5 Do you want to buy it? I said sure I'll buy it and then the cashier asked me if I could read it. I said yes it's 2:20 which was the right time.

retro office chair

vintage carpet purse

chenille bedspread I wish I could get a better photo because it would probably sell if my photos didn't suck so much.

Handmade zodiac quilt

Fisher Price crib hugger doll. Her arms wrap around the bars of the crib.

Holly Hobby doll

Remington hot rollers Not the tight curls but should sell ok

Vintage pencil sharpener

Mickey Mouse yahtzee

some spice shakers. I wish I had the whole set

I normally do not buy Webkinz unless it is something I know sells for big money but I thought the Gold signature was worth more but I guess it depends on the animal. I got 2 chimps. (not big money makers)

I already sold this vintage cat. It had no tag so I was guessing at the price and accepted a best offer of $21.25

Tuesday Thrifty Finds

It sure doesn't look like spring is here. Mother Nature does not want to cooperate as evident in this photo.

But it has to arrive sometime, right? So what better way to be prepared than with these rubber boots.

Aren't they cute? I hardly ever find any type of shoe in my size so I was surprised to find these and scooped them up.

Other things I found today.

The coin purse in the lower right is actually a sewing kit. I have it listed on Ebay.

I love the Barbie kitchen set. I wish I had something like that when I was a kid. The oven lights up when you press a button. You can see it here on Ebay

Not sure why I picked up the freezer containers. They aren't worth much (around $10) so I will probably keep those for myself. You can never have too many storage containers, right?  The Barney is listed on Ebay and I will probably list the ringa majigs tomorrow.

Thrifty Tuesday Finds

Some stuff  I came across the last few days. Yesterday was pretty much a bust but I did find this vintage coat that I thought about keeping until I saw they can sell for $50+ I listed mine high with best offer.

I also found this Hi Ho Cherry O game from the 60's I was surprised to see all the cherries were there. I failed to notice one of the buckets was broken and repaired. Check out the sweet graphics.

Some stuff I found last week. Although I do not have any luck selling dolls, I had to rescue these Cabbage Patch ones. I spent more than I cared too Between $2.99 and $4.99 but look at those sweet little faces.

I thought the My Child doll was the one that sold for good money. Nope the ones with the cloth face sell better. I think I may have put Best Offer on her as well. The other two are CPK for toddlers.

.
Lil Miss makeup Doll from Mattel. Unfortunately, her makeup doesn't respond to water anymore but I wonder if any of them still do?

I keep telling myself no more mugs but I couldn't pass up this Sandra Boynton one or the candy container. Maybe I need to stop looking at the aisle until I can sell the 30+ I have listed.

I picked up another set of bookends, this time in Eagle design.

A kitchen plaque I could not resist and some glasses.
