More Finds

Some finds from last week

I found this Boy Scouts Camp mess kit at the thrift store by my house. I was surprised by the price because they normally jack up anything they think may have value. They had it in the toy aisle so I guess they didn't know what it was.

I also bought ten porcelain dolls off a FB garage sale group. I haven't listed many dolls before so this will be a learning experience for me.

If you see anything you like, email me or check out my store on Ebay here.

October Sales

October was pretty slow in Ebay land. I had a total of 51 sales. Since I was moving, I was grateful for this little break but now I need things to pick up.

Some of my highs:

Alf doll for $59.95 plus shipping This went to Canada

Breyer Phantasma Horse $64.99 with free shipping

Enesco Owl Creamer set $55 free shipping

Barbie Polaroid Camera $31.99 plus shipping

and my lows:

Engine, Engine Number 9 book $4.99 with free shipping

Little Einsteins Plush Rocket $9.95 with free shipping

VTG Pencil erasers $9.99 with free shipping

Peek a Blocks Wagon Replacement Divider $9.99 with free shipping (This alone paid for the wagon I am trying to sell on Facebook)

Since we moved into a bigger house, I have my own room for my Ebay hoard. I really need to organize it better because a lot of the time, I end up searching two bins to find something that sold. Also there are no outlets so my computer and printer are down stairs.

On Friday, we went to a church sale. It was pretty big but since I had Ryker and Robbie with me, I didn't get to look much. I did find a few things for resale and for Ryker.

I also found Good Night Moon for .25

Selling:

Mr Incredible He talks

Teacher's Pet Cloth toddler Book

Fill and Spill Fish

Baby Einstein Teether

I also bought a crib mobile off Facebook and have already sold it for $29.99

and of course I bought some more Lia Sophia. I'm getting three more pieces tomorrow.

Facebook Finds and Sales

I bought two things off of Facebook this week: a Littlest Pet Shop toy and a Baby Einstein play mat.

The seller of the LPS toy wanted $10 I had $9 in my wallet and 4 quarters in my purse. By the time I got there, I had forgotten about the quarters and gave her the dollars. When I got home, I realized my mistake. I called her to let her know I thought I may have shorted her a dollar. She told me she hadn't counted the money as "I trust most people to be honest." I did not mean to short her and she told me she wasn't going to stress about a buck but her tone told me otherwise. I am an honest person and would not do this on purpose. Who doesn't count the money when they sell something?

The play mat is missing some pieces and the links but I should still be able to make a profit.

I sold 4 things on Facebook: papasan chair, a floor cleaner, some canisters and a toy.

I had this papasan chair for over 18 years. The cushion is new. My son was a little upset I sold it but no one uses it and it will be one less thing to move. Sold for $25

I've tried selling these yellow canisters on Ebay for a few months. There were watchers but no interest. I sold them to the person who bought the chair for $15

I sold the floor cleaner for $5 because I thought the buyer was going to buy something else from me and she changed her mind. I should have asked before I lowered the price. I also noticed the lock clip was missing so I wasn't sure if the canister would stay in place while being used. It must work because I have not heard back from her.

I bought this stacking toy for .75 at the consignment store. I sold it for $3 to a lady who previously bought a shelf from me.

I Am The Owl Queen

Yesterday, Lorraine from We are clamco left this comment on my blog: "I agree! You are the owl queen Becky!" Cindylou commented "I guess your eyes are trained to seek them out since you love them!" How right she is. Today, I found 6 owl items at Goodwill. I left behind a Dad and Little Henry picture (already have) and an owl toilet seat. (that would be too weird) Here is what I got:

A 3D art plaque with an owl in the tree

An owl candle holder

And a large figurine marked Japan on the bottom

I spotted this cute baby quilt.

and if you look closely, there is an owl square.

I bought the puzzle for Ryker and I found this Baby Einstein Rocking Caterpillar. Ryker is too big for it. When I went to pay, the cashier said it was cute and I told her I bought it for my granddaughter. (totally not true. I'm selling it on Ebay. It is discontinued and very hard to find) Anyways, the cashier said I looked too young to be a grandma :-)

Treasure Sale

Yesterday, I went to St Matthew's Annual Attic and Treasure Sale. It is a huge event held for two days. I wanted to go again today but it has been raining all morning and this is held outside under big tents. I wish I had taken some pictures to show but DH wanted me to hurry up. He waited in the truck. Since I was under a time frame and it was crowded, I only got a few items. I wanted to check out the book tent but there were to many people to manuever a stroller through. Here is what I found:

paid: $2.60

We also went to some garage sales. The brown picture frame I redid yesterday. You can see the makeover here I found my first Starbucks coffee cup and another Fire King cereal bowl which I am keeping. The Blue's Clue's puzzle is going into a lot I am making.

paid: $3.50

Here are some thrift store finds from earlier this week.

paid:$2.11

I am keeping the computer and book for Ryker. The dolls are up for auction but have no bids. I'm not sure what I am going to do with the cards. It is not a full deck but the pictures are cute and I was thinkng I could do some craft project with them.

Since Ryker moved into a big boy bed, I went looking for a bed rail to prevent him for falling out. I found this along with a Diego plush and a rotary phone on Friday.

paid $3.18

Unfortunately, the rail is meant for a twin size or bigger bed and is not safe to use with Ryker. (He climbs over it which defeats the purpose)I have listed it on Craig's List. It has a retail value of $40.

That's it for now. I still have some other finds from earlier this week but I will stop boring you and post them at another time. If you are new to reading my blog, please consider becoming a follower. Once I hit 50, I will do a giveaway. I am currently at 48.
